This unique initiative brought together children and teenagers aged 4 to 17, giving them the opportunity to explore the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI), coding, and data analytics in an engaging and age-appropriate way. The program was designed not only to teach technical skills but also to spark creativity, storytelling, and problem-solving through AI-powered experiences.

A Journey of Learning, Fun, and Innovation

Over the five weeks, participants gained hands-on experience in:

• Python Full-stack Development – building interactive applications from scratch.

• Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals – exploring how machines learn and think.

• Introduction to Data Analytics – discovering how to interpret and use data.

• Fun AI Concepts – using AI in games, storytelling, and drawing, making learning exciting and relatable.

• Creative Project Development – each participant built and presented their own mini AI-powered project at the end of the program.

From designing chatbots to creating AI-generated stories and art, the young innovators demonstrated that AI is not only about technology, it’s also about creativity, imagination, and fun.

The graduation ceremony on September 5 was a proud moment for participants, parents, and facilitators alike.

This free AI sensitization webinar brought together thought leaders, researchers, engineers, and advocates to demystify artificial intelligence and explore how every profession, from law and medicine to education, agriculture, and the creative industries, all can embrace AI for greater impact.

Visionary Leadership at the Helm

At the center of this impactful initiative was Stanley Olaleke, the Host and Director of Mexibog Innovation Hub, and a respected AI/Machine Learning Engineer and Researcher. With foresight and dedication, Stanley organized this seminar at a time when many are unsure how AI fits into their professional future. His opening remarks and moderation set the tone for an inclusive, insightful, and action-oriented event.

1. Prof. Tajudeen Humble Sikiru
Professor Sikiru kicked off the session with a compelling overview of AI and the Future of Work Across Professions, emphasizing the potential of AI to improve administrative efficiency, personalized learning, and educational equity across Africa. 2. Stella Uzochukwu-Denis

Stella explores how AI is being demystified and deployed in Nigerian classrooms – from chatbot development to machine learning tools that support multilingual STEM education. She emphasizes the importance of inclusive data, the ethical implications of AI built on foreign datasets, and the urgent need for Nigerian educators to build context-aware AI solutions.

3. Matthew Omotoso
Drawing from real-life analogies and deep reflections, he challenges us to imagine a world where failure to understand and interact with AI systems means losing access to essential services, even with money in your hand. Through this gripping analogy, he stresses that AI literacy is no longer optional; it’s critical for survival and relevance in today’s world. Mr. Omotoso also introduces accessible AI tools that can enhance productivity in content generation, marketing, customer service, website development, and more—tools that are available right now and don’t require coding knowledge.

4. Ajiboye Mayowa
A cybersecurity expert, Mayowa focused on AI in Cybersecurity, revealing how AI tools can detect, prevent, and respond to threats faster than ever, but also stressing the ethical and privacy concerns that must be addressed. Mr. Mayowa dives deep into topics such as: AI-driven threat detection and automated incident response Ethical and privacy concerns in AI-based security The rise of deepfakes and adversarial AI attacks Strategies for building secure, AI-powered digital systems Challenges like skill deficits, false positives, and data protection in Nigeria

5. Yekeen Akinwale
In the eye-opening session, Yekeen Akinwale, an award-winning investigative journalist and deepfake researcher, explores how AI is both a threat and a tool in the war against disinformation, misinformation, and manipulated media content. Drawing on his decades-long experience in journalism and media literacy. This session underscores the importance of AI literacy for media professionals, educators, and everyday content consumers. Yekeen noted that “the same AI that creates deepfakes can also help detect them if we know where to look.”

6. Zarah Malah Bukar
In her practical and inspiring talk, Zarah Malah Bukar, a skilled financial data analyst, shares how AI-powered tools like Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python, and ChatGPT are reshaping the role of data in decision-making: – from small businesses to government and nonprofit organizations. She covers: – What data analysis really means in practice – How AI automates tedious, time-consuming analytical tasks – The power of AI-assisted dashboards and storytelling with data – Real-world examples across business, compliance, and governance – Why data analytics matters more than ever in an AI-first world. 7. Dr. Achonu Adejo
Dr. Adejo, a distinguished scholar with a PhD in Electrical Engineering (Wireless Communications) from Newcastle University, UK, unpacks the practical power of artificial intelligence (AI) in everyday life.
